Pope on Christmas urges world to unite against Islamic militancy

Vatican City: Pope Francis in his Christmas message today has urged the world to unite against Islamic militants, with special reference to recent brutal attack in Paris that killed 130 people on November 13.

Francis marked today the third Christmas since his elections in 2013. Francis read his traditional Christmas Day address “Urbi et Orbi” in Vatican under tight security. Everyone had to go through their bags checking and air-port style screening if they wanted to enter St. Peter’ Square, Vatican City to listen Pope’s address.
